First leg of our 5k roadtrip in the boogie van completed

Monday, June 29th, 2009

The first leg was pretty uneventful except for getting soaked in the mountains in alabama and sweating the rest of the way. The old 64 van performed well for the first 900 miles and we have the majority of the hard hills behind us.

I am sitting in a hotel in Chattanooga when I went to move the van I had my first casualty of the trip a dead battery I guess the heat was just to much. So I couldnt get anyone to jump me so I hoofed it a mile to wallyworld for a new battery then got attacked by a goose and a duck cutting through a park on the way back lol.

Todays leg starts at Wheel Newstalgia hanging out with David Coker then it will be off to Greenville S.c for the night.

Will keep everyone posted on the rest of the trip
